It's been a very busy few weeks at La Herpiniere. As you might imagine, the term 'gardening' here has a large scale meaning to it. We have been very busy redesigning the 'poly-tunnel' and planting out fruits and preparing vegetables for the growing season. It won't be long now before the blossoms appear ready, to attract the bees that will pollinate all the fruits in the orchards, some of which Debbie prepares for the jams that guests can enjoy.
We have built a new pergola on our pier by the pond so that we and our guests can enjoy the views over the garden as the days lengthen and grow warmer. We also have two new arrivals to our chicken flock. The one month old chicks are settling in well, despite an escape attempt!
The GIte has been redecorated, ready for our guests to enjoy throughout the year. So, if you're considering a quiet, relaxing break, come and join us and enjoy the peace and tranquility that La Herpiniere has to offer.
